Scan Me! All you need to know about QR Codes

First developed in the mid 90s, they are like superpowered barcodes, able to hold all kinds of information. Even better, they don’t need any special equipment to access that information. They are starting to catch on now with the social distancing due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and also the limitations to the Hospitality and Retail Industries.

QR Codes work best for sharing short, self contained chunks of information like contact information, website logins, product information and digital catalogues. They’re a bridge between the physical world and the digital one.

Here are some great ways to implement and use QR Codes in your Business and in your Print Marketing materials;

1) Add to your Banners, Signage, and Advertisements. By adding a QR Code to your signage or to an Advertisement you can allow customers to scan the code and be taken right to your Menu, Catalogue or Website to start shopping or to learn more about your business.

2) Add to your Product Tags and Labels. By adding a QR Code to the product tags/labels will allow customers to scan that code to view more Product information or possibly a Video that shows more information about the item.

3) Add QR Codes to your Catalogues in place of the Price. By swapping out a QR Code for the price you have more control over ever changing prices by linking the code to a price list on your website. This will allow you to keep your printed catalogues current!

4) By Adding QR Codes to your marketing materials your business will be able to view the analytics and study better the data from each marketing campaign. This will assist you in making better decisions and invest in the best performing ways to market your business.

5) Add QR Codes to your Brochures, Post Cards and Direct Mail pieces. By implementing a QR Code to your print materials, you can easily direct customers to your ecommerce site where they can start shopping or to learn more about the services your business has to offer.

6) Add QR Codes to your Business Cards. Why Not!? Everyone still hands out and keeps business cards. This will allow the receiver who keeps your card for reference to access all of your information about your business and products.

7) Add QR Codes to your Print materials in the form of Discounts and coupons. This will give customers an immediate incentive to shop and make a purchase. It is a great way to drive potential customers to your website or e-commerce store.
